When it came to the Cleveland Browns, a lot of things went wrong
The Cleveland Browns will enter their 17th season as a playoff team, but they are no longer a Super Bowl contender.
That’s a fact the team’s front office had no choice but to admit in a Monday press conference.
That said, it’s not just that they lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 16, which the Browns have never won in their history.
The Browns also lost to their own division rivals, the Buffalo Bills.
It’s not even that they’re 2-14 against the AFC South.
It’s not that they didn’t beat the Pittsburgh offense at home.
It wasn’t just that the Steelers defense was a complete disaster against a Browns defense that was nearly unstoppable.
The Cleveland Browns are a complete and utter mess.
The Browns are the worst team in the NFL.
They are the only team in history to lose at least 13 games in each of the last four seasons.
They’re also one of the worst teams in the league to finish 2-13 in their final three seasons.
They’re one of just two teams in history, the other being the 1996 Atlanta Falcons, to finish 7-9 in their first 10 seasons.
The Browns were built on a foundation of a defense that had no answer for the pass rush, which allowed just one sack in all 16 games last season.
Their offensive line was mediocre, and quarterback Johnny Manziel was a relative bust in 2016 after the Browns traded away a number of offensive weapons.
It was the Browns who were forced to give up so many picks to sign players who never played in the pros, and it was a mistake to do so.
This year, however, the Browns’ defense is arguably better.
They’ve got one of league’s best pass rushers in Joe Thomas, and they’ve got a talented offensive line that is finally getting healthy.
The defense is just as good as last year, and this year’s offense will likely be even better.
However, the defense has still been a complete mess, and if they can get back to that, it could be the greatest comeback in Browns history.
While the Browns were expected to have one of their best seasons ever, the last three seasons has been even worse.
They were 4-12 in 2016, but were 7-7 in 2017.
They won just eight games in their last eight seasons.
Injuries have plagued this team for years, but it’s clear that quarterback Josh McCown and running back Joe Mixon are two of the team and its biggest holes.
When it comes to their offense, the offense has never been this bad.
It hasn’t been worse since it was 4-10 in 2015, but that was because the team was still playing at a high level.
That has not changed this year.
They have had five quarterbacks hit double digits in passing yards and seven of them have thrown for over 400 yards.
They have had three running backs go over 1,000 yards, including Isaiah Crowell, Devonta Freeman and Dalvin Cook.
And this season, their only running back who has been injured for more than one game is Jeremy Hill.
So, what went wrong?
The main reason the Browns defense has struggled is that they’ve never been able to stop the run.
This season, the Cleveland defensive line has allowed the NFL’s third most rushing yards, and their run defense has been ranked 25th in Football Outsiders’ DVOA metric.
This is the result of a quarterback who’s never been good at running the ball.
When the Browns drafted Johnny Manziel, he had an average arm strength, but he had a lot to work with.
His average of 1.57 seconds in the 40 yard dash was his lowest of his career.
He didn’t have a great release point, and he never got the hang of it.
But the Browns needed Manziel’s arm strength to have success on the ground.
So when he ran out of the pocket, they had to be very aggressive to contain him.
That was the whole problem.
Manziel was able to get to the line of scrimmage and make big plays in the pocket and at the goal line.
He was able with his feet to stay upright, but his accuracy and accuracy on throws were both terrible.
This year, it appears he’s not the same quarterback, at least not as far as accuracy and completion percentage go.
One of the biggest reasons for that is that he’s a running back.
The Cleveland offensive line has struggled with this issue.
They gave up the second most sacks last season, but their run blocking has been terrible.
On one play against the New York Jets, running back Duke Johnson got knocked off his feet by Browns linebacker Anthony Harris and then ran into cornerback Joe Haden.
Johnson had a good gain of 10 yards and a touchdown.
On another play, he was able at least to get his hand on a screen pass by running into tight end Travis Benjamin and getting a big gain of
