There exists the eternal question as to whether a leader is born or made. But does this issue really matter? While the word, leadership can be grandiosely characterized by various definitions and theories, its real value and effectiveness can only be tested through an actual exercise in the middle of complex conditions such as armed conflict. In a crisis like the one which gripped Marawi City, where the lives of its people were imperiled and the security of our nation was threatened, definitely leaders were made.
